Family Guy is a hit television show about a dysfunctional family (exactly like the Simpsons but a newer version). It was created and developed by Seth Macfarlane.
The family consists of 6 people, Peter Griffin (Seth Macfarlane), Lois Griffin (Alex Borstein), Meg Griffin (Mila Kunis), Chris Griffin (Seth Green), Stewie Griffin (Seth Macfarlane) and the family dog Brian (Seth Macfarlane). They live in a fictional town called Quahog Rhode Island.
Each episode introduces new hilarious jokes and each character produces them. The show aired in 1999 and so far has made 6 seasons, the seventh season is due to come out on dvd in august 2008
Family Guy and its cast have been nominated for 8 Emmy awards, with three wins:
2000: Outstanding Voice-Over Performance – Seth MacFarlane for "Stewie Griffin"
2002: Outstanding Music and Lyrics – Walter Murphy (composer), Seth MacFarlane (lyricist)
2007: Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation – Steve Fonti (storyboard artist)
Family guy does not just produce T.V shows but it has made two movies, the first being stewie griffin- untold stories which went straight to dvd and Blue Harvist which is an animated Star wars movie with Family guy characters.
